Privacy policy

The short version

Total Damage runs entirely in your browser. Your order history is read from the delivery sites you choose, stored only on your device, and never sent to us or anyone else. There is no account, no server holding your data, no analytics, and no ads.

What the extension reads

Only when you click Connect for an app, and only from that app’s own website:

• Your order history from Zomato, Swiggy (including Instamart), Blinkit, Zepto or DoorDash: dates, amounts, restaurant or store names, items and order status.
• Whether you are logged in to that site, so it can ask you to log in if you aren’t.

It never sees or stores your password, OTP or payment details. You log in on the delivery site itself, as you normally would.

Where it is kept

Everything is saved in your browser’s extension storage on your own device. Charts, totals and cards are all calculated there. Nothing is uploaded.

Sharing

If you choose to share a card, the link you share contains only the numbers shown on that card (with exact amounts left out if you turn on “Hide exact amounts”). When someone opens it, totaldamage.food reads the link to draw the card and its preview image, and stores nothing. Nothing is shared unless you share it.

Permissions, and why

• Access to the delivery sites: to read your order history from them, as the site itself does.
• Cookies: to check whether you are logged in, and to read Instamart orders with your existing Swiggy login.
• Scripting and tabs: to read the order pages in a background tab and open the login page when needed.
• Storage: to keep your orders on your device between visits.
• Alarms: to resume an import that was interrupted.
• Web request: to notice when a delivery site blocks a request, so we can explain what went wrong.

Deleting your data

Open the menu in the extension and choose “Delete all my data”, or remove the extension from Chrome. Either way, everything it stored is gone.
